When do you consult a professional counselor?
People typically consult a counselor when they are lost, alone, down, stressed, and/or overwhelmed. Often people are seeking assistance with getting a handle on major problems. Others come to counseling to reduce physical, emotional, and/or behavioral symptoms.
There are a range of factors that impact health, emotional well-being, and relationship problems. People can learn to recognize and modify how their reactions play a part in symptoms. You can better understand yourself, your relationships, and your choices. This is your opportunity to better deal with problems related to:
Marriage
Family
Stress
Mental Health
Health
Parenting
Children
Work
Business
I consult with people who are looking for a different way to think about problems and/or deal with difficult life situations. The counseling session is where coaching and preparation begins, but not where change happens. The real work of making changes in your life happens between sessions in your significant relationships.
